Building on the first-generation nail-penetration test, the second-generation product further raises the bar: after completing 500 flash-charging cycles equivalent to roughly 300,000 kilometers of use, it then undergoes an extreme test in which it is nail-pierced while charging—and the battery still remains stable. The battery also passed a thermal-propagation test at four times the new national standard and an underbody impact test at ten times the new national standard, with no fire or explosion in either case.
