Regarding build systems, Windows container support progressed from initial QEMU backend (providing limited testing with unreliable user debugging) to proper OBuilder implementation using Windows Host Compute Service. We compared BuildKit against OCurrent for image construction. Our Windows container implementation potentially represents one of the largest global deployments given the quantity of encountered bugs.
